First time and last time. Service was so slow. Ordered nuggets and chips. The most disgusting nuggets I've ever eaten. Little did I know, they were vegan nuggets. It's not written on the menu that all their meat is fake vegan meat. There's just a poster promoting vegan lifestyle on the other wall. Chips were mediocre and not hot. I felt ill the rest of the night. Homeless/beggar was also sitting right at the counter.

I ordered a chicken burger (the $8 one), and noticed a sign saying that a surcharge will added on for eftpos transactions. I asked the guy how much, and he told me:"No more than 1 to 1.5%". So, I this is what the bank will charge them. When I checked my receipt I'd been charged approximately 11.5%. I asked him if it was correct that the charge is 1.5%, and he said yes. Then I asked him why he had then charged me $8.91. He started to argue that I had the chance at the machine. I reminded him that he confirmed the percentage, then lied. This is the second time this has happened (probablya lot more). Last time the burger was $6 and I was charged $7.90 (approximately). I told him that I realise that he's just doing his job, but the reality is he told me 1.5% (so he knows what they should be charging, according to their bank), then consciously charged me approximately 10× more. I also told him I would be posting this review.
It is illegal to charge more than the bank charges you. They're not the only ones. There are three businesses I could see that charge up to 25-50 times the bank charge: the hairdresser (first one after Flinders Lane), $2.50; the old newsagents/lotto place that turned into a vape shop - same owners I think (if so, then they'll be charging 15% like they used to). We didn't force them to open a business, and we don't coerce them into lying and cheating us while charging us top prices for some services. He might think he was only doing his job, but he didn't have to lie in the face of his own admission. The blame ultimately lies at the feet of the owners (who - i can't prove it; just conjecture - is probably underpaying them, too....something to investigate). This was the last straw. It could have easily been another store. Enough is enough.

Service is slow. Staff is nice. The spicy chicken burger patty tasted different to any other chicken burgers I have had over my life. It wasn't spicy and I doubt they accidently gave me a cheeseburger maybe. The onion rings were crunchy and delicious. Served hot.

Food is standard LoTF it's been years, taste just as good for fast food vegan. Staff here, disappointing. Ordered my burger and fries, got told to add a drink only an extra .50c. next second my tap pay is an extra $7 ... Told the dude he just walked off.

Get better staff.

Melbourne have better vegan options so, yer. I made the mistake.

It was not a good experience. We ordered two boxes of large fries, but we encountered a couple of issues.

Firstly, the fries were excessively oily and not crispy as expected.

Secondly, we were unaware of an ongoing promotion for 2 boxes of fries at a discounted price. The lady at the counter charged us the full price of $15 for the two boxes, only mentioning the promo after the charge, which was $10 for 2 boxes.

Thirdly, the quantity can be improved.

Do not waste your money. My son and I planned to eat this as part of our concert night - big mistake. The service was the best part and was well below average, the "atmosphere" was dirty and smelly. We waited over 10 minutes for $35 worth of food that was actually so bad it was all thrown out. Stale, hard just absolutely disgusting. I almost felt bad feeding some of the chips to the birds (meaning I felt bad for the birds). I wpuld actually have been embaressed to give it away to a homeless person....It looks okay in the photo but this is what we threw out.

I recently visited LOTF, opp Fed square on 14th September 2024 and noticed a significant issue with the air quality due to an exhaust system problem. The kitchen seemed smoky, which made the experience less enjoyable. It was evident that the exhaust system wasn't functioning properly.
Despite this, the staff was courteous and attentive. We as a customer were finding it difficult to breath, I really appreciate the staff working in store.
