We almost didn't go because of some of the bad reviews, but decided to give it a try. It turned out great! The food is about what you expect from a buffet. The fried chicken was hot and tasted great. The pizza was decent, especially if you get it as soon as they bring it out. I felt the cost was very reasonable considering it came with the buffet , dessert and a soda. The staff was friendly and the gentleman that cleared our plates was always smiling. We will be back!

Loved the cowboy pizza! Stopped in this afternoon and got a pizza to go and the ingredients were perfect. The crust was amazing. Great service and strongly recommend. Can't wait to try again next time coming thru Medora!!

If you have hungry little buckaroo's be sure to stop at Badlands Pizza! We ordered 3 kids pizzas during our road trip and a large Pizza for the adults thinking the kids pizzas would be maybe 6 inches. When they arrived they were 10-12 inches! We could easily have ordered less but were pleasantly surprised the size for the cost. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread and they were a cheese filled garlic breadsticks that everyone enjoyed! The only negative about our experience was that it was incredibly loud as it is one big room so conversation was hard and then when trying to leave it took an especially long time to just get the bill and a box even though it wasn't very busy. Overall we would definitely come back and maybe take advantage of their order ahead or grab and go area!

I can not imagine a less inspiring place to eat. This must be the place retired high-school lunch ladies go to work during off-season.
The entire food selection consists of fried chicken straight from the freezer, cold potato wedges, tasteless mashed potatoes, cold carrots, and canned corn.
Or, a variety of about 6 different pizzas, as tasty as the ones at the local truck stop. Yuck.
The salad bar was maybe the best option. Chopped green lettuce, spring mix, and wilted spinach. Just shy of a dozen toppings, although I could only identify 5 of them.
There has been absolutely no effort to have an exciting menu choice here. Management didn't even try.
Don't eat here. You deserve better than this.

We stopped for lunch here while visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The place has a big sitting area. It was crowded and noisy but that’s expected considering it was lunch time. We ordered chicken wings, waffle fries and 1 large pizza. The pizza taste was average. We ordered half n half pizza with 1 side cheese and other with 2 toppings. I don’t know why they were skimpy with the toppings. Out of the 4 slices, 2 had very little toppings as if it was free. I must have paid atleast $1 to $2 each.

Brought in a bunch of Scouts, paid $300 on buffets. Asked for some gluten, dairy free pizza for one of my Scouts with cerebral palsy. They would only make one if I ordered a carry out pizza, had to put down another $30 for that. Had to pay for the kids buffet and then more money for his food.

Gal at till was awesome, servers were friendly, food was okay. Manager making decisions about making a special pizza, I am not happy with. Heck, they advertise the gluten and dairy free options, but don’t say they are going to make you pay for it.

We went in at noon to check it out and it looked good and we decided to go to the buffet 4 hrs later. We go back 4 hrs later and I swear it was the same food sitting out. All dried up . The staff was inattentive. There weren't many people in there but I think if you are charging $16.95 for the buffet you can at least put out some fresh pizza for people. We left hungry.

We enjoyed our visit so much last summer. Our pizza was delicious so we were excited to visit again only to be thoroughly disgusted with the new changes. We had choice of the buffet where we could sit inside the establishment or order a pizza and sit outside! We picked the overpriced buffet. The mashed potatoes were cold and pizzas tasted more like ordinary pizzas. I am not sure of the reasoning with ordering a pizza and NOT being able to sit inside. Completely disappointed! We gave you five stars last year.
