WARNING! THIS BUSINESS HAS DECEIT WRITTEN ALL OVER IT! If you are considering Empire Customs Food Trucks as an option for your food truck or food trailer, turn back now. I REPEAT SCRATCH THEM OFF THE LIST OF OPTIONS! First of all, understand this. I have no reason to lie. Jose Landeros is the type of man who will look you right in your face and lie. HE SIMPLY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. The Jawn Philly Steaks only hope is to bring the best authentic philly cheesesteaks to El Paso. After two years of planning, strategizing, and working towards making that dream a reality, it finally seemed near once we were approved for the funds. Mislead by the information given to us from Jose Landeros, we put our trust in this business to buy, customize, and build our trailer. We were promised a 16x7 trailer. Instead we got a 14x6. From first glance, we had doubts about the size of the trailer. When questioned on if the dimensions of the trailer were correct, Jose lied and said it was a 16x7 trailer. It took us having to bring a tape measure and measure it ourselves to find out indeed it was off. I could go on all-day step by step explaining what happened next leading me to write this review. POINT BLANK.. THIS BUSINESS GOT ALL THE MONEY UPFRONT IN APRIL 2024. IT IS NOW OCTOBER 2024 AND WE STILL HAVE NO FOOD TRUCK. THERE WAS NO CONTRACT. JUST AN INVOICE THAT HAD THE DIMENSIONS 16x7 CLEARLY WRITTEN ON IT. Anybody who knows a thing or two about food trucks knows the ideal size for one is 16x7 & up. Jose, knowingly that it may be 3–4 people in our food trailer at once, intended to jip us on the dimensions and not tell us. WE REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM ANYMORE. ALL TRUST IS LOST. WE ARE NOT GIVING EMPIRE CUSTOMS FOOD TRUCKS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CAN’T FIX IT. YOU CAN’T MAKE SOMEONE TRUST YOU AGAIN AFTER LYING TO THEM. OBVIOUSLY THEY DON’T WANT TO FIX IT EITHER BECAUSE THE SAME TRAILER IS STILL AT THEIR ESTABLISHMENT UNTOUCHED. EVERY TIME WE VISIT THERE IS NO NEW MODIFICATIONS DONE TO MAKE LONGER AND WIDER. JUST POSSIBILITIES SPOKEN BY HIM SAYING HE CAN FIX IT UP, SELL IT, AND GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK THAT WAY. YET EVERY TIME WE GO BACK TO SPEAK TO JOSE IN PERSON, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. IT LOOKS THE EXACT SAME AS IT DID WHEN WE FOUND OUT HE WAS LYING. JUST A 14x6 TRAILER WITH A WINDOW. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK AND WE’LL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL THAT HAPPENS!

Beware! Read this before doing business with Jose Landeros and Judith Jaramillo of Empire Food Trucks, it will save you lots of money, time and aggravation. I wish it was possible to give less than 1 star! I contracted to have them build a food truck; a 3 month build took 10 months and I received a burnt, unfinished, unusable food truck with no title. It cost me $15,000 in legal fees for a judge to force Landeros/ Jaramillo to hand over the title even thought they had been paid in full. You can see from the pictures I uploaded the truck caught fire and burned in their shop. They furnished the truck, not me. Joe’s response, “not my problem, I’m done and lost too much money building this truck”, and shipped it to me burnt. I have a judgement against Landeros/ Jaramillo for; Breach of Contract, Deceptive Trade Practices, Negligent Misrepresentation, Unjust Enrichment, Larceny and Fraud for the amount of $908,342.80. What this means to you! If you have and issue (and probably will) with Landeros/ Jaramillo building you a food truck, you cannot collect against them until my first position judgement is satisfied. Also, when I send a Texas appointed Receiver to recover my losses everything in his shop will be impounded including your build and sent to auction. You’ll have to sue them to recover your losses but can’t, due to my judgment being so high they’ll still owe me money and the balance of my judgement will still need to be satisfied. During the time he was building my truck his shop was supposedly burglarized and a $10,500 generator I supplied was stolen, they have no business insurance to collect from. You are gambling on anything you supply being safe in their shop or your project being completed. The theft of my generator was never reported to the police by Landeros or Jaramillo. I’m offering a $2,500 reward for the return of my stolen Onan Cummins OD 12,000 watt diesel generator stolen from their shop, serial number: C160938319. Take my advice you’ll be much better off finding a different food truck builder. His 5 star reviews are mostly from friends and family not customers.

Mr. Landeros has no integrity. I was approved for a business loan and the financial institution gave him $38, 000 in April for a custom designed 7 x16 ft food trailer. He tried to give me a 6 x 14 trailer instead. I refused the downgrade and asked for a refund. We have no contract only a invoice and its almost 6 mos later and he haven't given my money back.
If he would do this to a retired Veteran he will do this to anyone!

Do not have anything to do with this company. We purchased a food truck from them and was it was a the worst decision of our lives. Joe was all smiles and promises at first. He wanted $40000 to start work which we paid. Then the balance of $25000 to finish. After paying $$65000 with promises of a like new truck, we finally received it (late I might add) it was an old truck with 190000 miles on it! He told us his "mechanic" went through the truck and repaired anything that was wrong and could drive it to New York if we wanted to so we took the truck. We left El Paso back to Ft Davis. We got about 25 miles out of town and the engine seized up on us so we called him to have it towed back. He told us that he would not be pay for the tow. We were stuck on Interstate 10 until 11:00. That night waiting for the tow truck.$1500 later we arrived in Ft Davis with a broken down truck. The next day we had our mechanic look at the truck. The oil was dirty with flakes of metal in it. The cross bearing was shot and the engine seized. A repair bill of $9600. Joe would not pay for it but offered $1500! He told us he would have it towed back to El Paso and have his mechanic fix it (like he did the last time?) my advice for you is to stay away from this company.
